Trinidad Ocean Worker Project

Ocean Worker PetroCanada

This month sees the completion of the long running hire of IMS rental equipment in Trinidad for the rig Ocean Worker through PetroCanada.

The project involved in excess of £3 million worth of rental equipment including 45,000ft of chain, subsea buoyancy, anchors and over 30 reels of various sizes of steel wire rope and fittings which were to be used to prelay at various locations north of Tobago.

The work commenced in October 2007 with the shipment of the equipment from Singapore and Aberdeen and has included the hire of IMS personnel on the ground in Trinidad every day of 2008 to date to assist with the mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment from quayside in La Brae.

IMS would again like to thank PetroCanada for awarding them this work and hope to continue the successful working relationship in the future.

Building Work Commences

This months sees the demolition of the IMS offices and the preparation of the new three storey office block. The office staff and management are now based, still on-site at Tern Place, in temporary portakabins for a approximately the next 42 weeks. Planned opening is for the 2nd of April 2009.

New IMS Senior Accountant

Carolyn Fletcher joins the IMS team as our their new Senior Accountant. 

With 5 years accountancy experience (2003-08) in oil related engineering/hire company (Imes Ltd/Water Weights) as Assistant Accountant/Management Accountant and 3 years finance experience (2000-03) at Aberdeen Asset Management (as unit trust dealer), Carolyn brings to IMS an extensive knowledge of accountancy and is ACCA qualified with a BA (Hons) in European Business Administration with Languages.

New Sales Assistant

Dawn Farmer joins the IMS sales team this month from Kuehne & Nagel and previously Sub-Atlantic. She brings to the team a wealth of knowledge in both logistics and internal sales. Dawn will be an assistant to Fiona Kesson and can be contacted on +44 1224 701 830.

New IMS Accounts Team

IMS are proud to annouce the introduction of their new accounts team:

 

Darius Balsara brings to the team 15 years of experience from the oil and gas industry.  He also brings a further 10 years experience from the the newspaper printing and publishing industry and further 5 years in the food industry and financial consultancy.

Diane Arslan joined IMS after 10 years as the Group Credit Controller with Craig Group. Diane brings to the team 23 years of credit control experience.

Wendy Cruikshank joins IMS after 6 years with Craig International Supplies - accounts payable and credit control prior to that Santa Fe for 8 years – accounts payable and payroll. Wendy joined IMS at beginning of November 07 after a year of being an ex-pat in Cairo.

IMS Ltd have been successfully accredited to ISO:9001(2000) and ISO:14001(2004). Both these accreditations are the culmination of a long process of review and development of the new IMS Quality, Health, Safety an Environmental business ethos. This philosophy is central to the continuous management and growth of IMS Ltd in the Oil and Gas sector.   After only 6 months of operating from their quayside base in Miller Street Aberdeen, IMS Ltd are happy to announce that this site is now incorporated within their ISO:14001(2004) accreditation.
